do Antioxidants help darkness under eyes?
ByOk so I have dark circles under my eyes, I sleep well, eat well, not overweight, I don’t smoke, I drink occasionally but not often. I think its hereditary.
So my mom told me to use her anti-age eye cream every night which is rich in antioxidants, but it seems to be darkening the skin under my eyes, how can this happen?
don’t know why it would darken the circles under your eyes, but I can tell you from what you wrote that the solution to your problem is to drink more water.

you should try getting more sleep, it works wonders. but yes getting more antioxidants does work well. the reason the cream isn’t helping is you need the antioxidants inside your body instead of on your skin. drinking grape juice really helps. otherwise you can try boiling a peeled potatoe and then mashing it up and putting it under your eyes for about five minutes. it really helps and feels great on tired eyes.
and hope i helped
best of luck

Antioxidants don’t really affect that. Dark circles are hereditary, for the most part. They can be better or worse based on sleep and hydration, but there’s not always much you can do about it. Using a caffeinated eye cream or just using refrigerated black tea bags can help, but other than that, it’s not worth worrying about. I use Clinique All About Eyes and it’s fine, but I don’t think it makes a ton of difference. Get a decent under-eye concealer – the kind that reflects light – and try not to worry about it.
