since i live in canada im not sure how much it would cost where you live buy something thats pretty good is the philosophy clear makeup primer you can buy this at sephora,The rimmel fix & perfect one is okay too but i suggest you test it at the drugstore to see if you like the scent, smell, fell, and look of it and make sure to walk around the store for a while then check back to see if you breakout or anything weird happens.Oh and if you really want to try the smashbox primer you could ask one of the sephora people to give you a sample or buy the smaller tube they have so you dont spend too much.:D References :
You may have noticed that in the last year or so, ‘foundation primers’ have been touted as the latest and greatest in ‘makeup technology’. But do you need one? Do they really work? Which one should you try? Are they only for liquid foundation users? Will they feel heavy? Will you look more ‘made up’? Are they bad for your skin? OR … have you tried a few primers only to find they feel greasy and don’t give you any real benefit? Read on …
I personally don’t use foundation. I’ve tried them all and even the lightest of foundations or tinted moisturizers are still too much ‘make up’ for my liking. I use only a light powder before putting on whatever makeup I’m wearing. So, I didn’t expect foundation primer to be something I would truly benefit from. However, because I have access to so many samples, I couldn’t resist trying them out to see what all the fuss was about.
Initially, every primer I tried just felt rather greasy, and didn’t seem to add any benefit to my makeup application whatsoever. I had decided that foundation primer was one beauty product that I could definitely do without. Then, recently, I received a sample packet of Bare Escentuals newest product, "Prime Time" Foundation Primer. I have an extremely high opinion of BE products, (I do not limit myself strictly to BE, but I do religiously use a handful of products that I would never again be without), so in all fairness, I thought I should give it a try.
This stuff is like MAGIC! It’s light, weightless, soft and silky without being the least bit greasy or tacky … and it literally made any remnants of visible pores disappear. My powder glided on like satin. My complexion was truly improved, perfectly even and balanced, and my skin felt great – completely comfortable. Further, I noticed throughout the day that I didn’t seem to need to touch up the shine on my nose (which I normally do at least a couple of times a day). I am thoroughly impressed, and extremely glad that I tried it. Infused with minerals, plant extracts, antioxidants and vitamins C and E for added age-defying power, this one is a no-brainer … good for your skin and fabulous for your complexion. This product is definitely joining my ‘can’t live without’ list!
Hey girl, the cheapest primer i could find that everyone raves about is the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer. My friends use it and there skin glows, it does have a tint in it, but it blends nicely. On youtube you can search "Rimmel Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer Reviews" and Im sure you will get tons of videos up there! On a side note is is $7.99 and sometimes when your local drugstore has deals you can even get it at a lower price. They sell it at ulta stores for $7.59 and CVS they sell it the cheapest for $7.29.
